Even in our current technological age of documenting everything, it's far too easy to lose the knowledge of what happened in the recent past, let alone previous generations. In honor of Immigrant Heritage Week, let's take a look at the history and... Pfft, who am I kidding? I just want some of that Kaposzta Teszta (cabbage with noodles)!

Interviewing a Family Member
Grandpa, Gramps, Granddad, Pop-Pop. Whatever you call him, take the time to ask him real questions. Don't forget to ask, "Who was your first kiss?" Grandma might not even know the answer to that one! Do you have a box full of photos with people you just can't identify? Of course you do. Assuming it's not Zelig, how can you figure out who these people are?

Family Traditions
While going through your family's history, don't forget to make some of your own. My favorite tradition is bringing daddy what he wants when he wants it. It technically hasn't started yet because the kids keep going on strike. But the idea is sound! What's Your Family Tradition?
