Hi all,
The 2016 Noel Prize in Economics was announced today- congratulations to Oliver Hart and Bengt Holmstrom! Their work focuses on the subfield known as organizational economics, which, at a basic level, tries to explain why firms (i.e. companies) exist in the first place. It also looks at how firms interact with one another and with workers, so I included a few articles on those topics below as well as an overview of the Nobel Price and some other awards for economists.
Cheers,
Jodi
