Chances are you’ve heard of the Lean Startup movement, which aims to improve how companies develop new products and services. Lean Startup has such wide appeal because many people know how difficult it is to build a successful product. Everyone is familiar with the sobering statistics about the high percentage of new products that fail. 

The Lean Product Process consists of six steps:
 
1. Determine your target customer
2. Identify underserved customer needs
3. Define your value proposition
4. Specify your Minimum Viable Product (MVP) feature set
5. Create your MVP prototype
