The only time I feel unsafe taking a subway or bus is when it's actually pulling up near me. Once I'm on it, it's always been perfectly A-OK. But it is really as safe as I think? | What About Walking to Work? My friend Arturo can just walk to work. Now, he's not 10 minutes from work (closer to 25), but in the good weather, it's good exercise, helps him stay connected to the neighborhood and something else that I didn't hear because I had to run to catch a train.
